Chiefs set to host Steelers in wild-card game at Arrowhead Stadium

(610 Sports) – The AFC playoff picture has come fully into view and we now know all the details of the wild card matchups.

The Kansas City Chiefs are locked in as the #2 seed in the AFC following the Tennessee Titans 28-25 win over the Houston Texans, earning Tennessee the #1 seed and a first-round bye.

With the expansion of the NFL playoffs to 14 teams, the #2 seed will no longer receive a first-round bye, meaning Kansas City will host the #7 seed Pittsburgh Steelers in a wild card game on Sunday, their second meeting of the season at Arrowhead Stadium.

The first meeting, a lopsided affair that took place just two weeks ago, was dominated by Kansas City on both sides of the ball. The Chiefs not only scored the first 30 points of the game on their way to a 36-10 victory, they also forced two fumbles and picked off a pass from Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The last time these two teams met in the postseason was in 2017, an 18-16 Steelers victory in the divisional round of the playoffs.
