May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Audacy is proud to support our very own, Anthony Donatelli from KFRG, as he does his part to raise awareness surrounding the importance of mental health within military families.

To bring awareness to the Miles for Mental Health initiative, Donatelli is participating in a bike ride across across Southern California throughout the month of May. The ride will raise funds for Project Sanctuary, a non-profit founded in 2007 focused on the needs of military families who require mental health healing and empowerment due to loss, trauma, suicide, or addiction.

“Their work is invaluable in providing vital support to those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” shared Donatelli of Project Sanctuary before the depth of his appreciation for our serve men and women. “Our military are the true heroes of this country. After seeing the sacrifice and grief that some these families go through, I wanted to do my part in supporting them and their mental health going forward.”

In addition to his physical commitment and raising funds, Donatelli will also spread awareness over the airwaves as he speaks with members of military families who share personal stories of their own battles, as well as their loved one’s battles with mental health. Those interviews can be heard via Audacy’s I’m Listening page here.

Audacy's I’m Listening initiative aims to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues to understand they are not alone. If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression or anxiety, know that someone is always there. Additionally, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 988.
