Over the weekend, Pat Mahomes made some headlines when he revealed that his goal for the 2021 season was to go 20-0. No team since the 1972 Dolphins has finished a season undefeated, with the infamous 2007 New England Patriots being the only ones to get within a game of that record since. With a 17th regular season game added into the NFL season, 2021 will be the first time that getting to 20 wins is technically possible. So can the Chiefs do it? And how likely is it? Chiefs insider and Arrowhead Pride editor-in-chief Pete Sweeney called into Fescoe In The Mornings on Tuesday to give his take.

"There was a thought last year, after the Super Bowl win, that they were bored by the regular season," Sweeney said. "And you know what? There were times where it did feel that way, but it seems like, with that being said, with Mahomes saying, 'We want to win every single game,' that it might be this type of revenge-against-the-league, blood sport type of thing. Like, 'You really forgot how good we are, and we're going to show you this year.'"
