Through the first couple weeks of the Chiefs' offseason, it felt like offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy wasn't a certainty to return to Kansas City in 2022. His contract was set to expire after this season, and though he met with head coach Andy Reid after the AFC Championship loss, plenty of people plugged into the situation spoke seriously about Bieniemy not returning. Then, on Thursday, a report from FanSided NFL writer Matt Verderame went in another direction:
Though there's been no official word from the team on any potential contract extension, the story has already been confirmed by at least one other media member in Kansas City. Either way, it didn't stop Chiefs Twitter from weighing in on some potentially huge news:
