(610 Sports) – Rewarding, exciting, a blessing, and a dream come true. These are the words that Chiefs wide receiver Josh Gordon used to describe his touchdown catch in the second quarter that put the Chiefs up 28-0 over the Las Vegas Raiders, on Sunday afternoon.

"Yeah, I wasn't sure it was gonna be up this week but we've been practicing it for a couple of weeks," said Gordon. "Coach Reid's been reassuring me that I'm gonna get my opportunity and I had my trust in him. You know, I knew whenever that time was gonna come I was gonna be ready, so I made sure that was the case today and it worked out well."
Gordon, who had been out of football for nearly two years before signing with the Chiefs prior to Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills, relished the opportunity to contribute to the offense but knows he still has work to do, in order to be the consistent third receiver that the Chiefs are still seeking.
"I'm not happy with where I'm at," Gordon said to the media following the game. "I think currently that's just me being a hard critic on myself but I'm also aware of where I'm at and how blessed I am to be in this position, so I take every day with pride and joy no matter what happens or what I'm able to do. I think it's a win for me, personally, the rest of that is just me trying to be a competitor."
