To date, Justin Reid has been the Chiefs' biggest free agency signing of the 2022 offseason. On Thursday, Reid joined 610's The Drive to chat about what attracted him to Kansas City, how the process came together, and what fans can expect this coming season.

"The fit really just made a lot of sense," he said. "I heard a lot about Spags' defense, how dynamic and multi-faceted it is. We can play the two-high, the one-high. We're going to blitz, too. Thornhill has the similar body type, so I think we're going to be dynamic in that we'll be interchangeable. Try and switch things up and keep offenses on their toes. But besides that, the electric atmosphere. I played in Kansas City a lot when I was with the Texans. It kind of felt like we were divisional opponents. But every time we've come here, it's been electric. So I've known a little bit about how the fanbase is here. And I've had teammates that have gone through here too and everyone tells me how good of an experience that they've had. There's a lot of things that just made a lot of sense, and ultimately when I came down to make a decision, I knew in my heart and soul that this was the place that I needed to go to."
