(610 Sports) – The AFC Championship rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals upon us.
A hobbled Patrick Mahomes looks to exact revenge on Joe Burrow and the Bengals at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, following a trio of losses to Cincinnati in just over a year. Fortunately, for Mahomes and the Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce will be available and active for the game.
Despite being a full-participant in Friday's practice, Kelce showed up as being questionable with a back injury on the team's injury report.
The loss of Kelce would have been a huge blow to the Chiefs, who are already having to manage a Patrick Mahomes' high-ankle sprain, suffered in the divisional-round against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kelce had 1,338 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns this season, his ninth in Kansas City. He had 98 yards and two touchdowns on 14 catches in last week’s divisional-round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Chiefs also listed receivers Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson as questionable but will see the return of TE Jody Fortson. Hardman is dealing with a pelvis issue, and Watson missed practice Friday because of an illness.
