Chiefs rookie Isiah Pacheco scored the first touchdown of his NFL career during Sunday's win in Arizona, and not unlike a lot of other rookies, got a bit over-excited about it. Shortly after crossing the goal line, Pacheco flung the ball away while celebrating, which apparently caught the eye of Patrick Mahomes. Speaking to 610's The Drive on Monday, Mahomes revealed how he was able to recover the ball and get Pacheco a very cool souvenir.
"I remember when I got my first ball," he said. "I don't remember who gave me my first touchdown ball, I remember getting that. It's something I've kept, and will keep my entire life. And so I always think about it when guys get their first touchdown, or first touchdown in their career. I always want to get that football to them. He got all hyped and threw it at the wall, and I was like man, if you had thrown that thing into the stands, it'd be a lot harder to get. I'm glad he kept it in the field of play."
