On Monday, news broke that the NFL had suspended Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay for four games.
The suspension is in response to an incident in January in which Gay was arrested for misdemeanor property damage. Back in July, it was reported that both sides agreed to a plea deal that allowed Gay to avoid going to trail or facing jail time. Gay's suspension will begin immediately, meaning the earliest that he's eligible to return would be the Chiefs' Week 7 game in San Francisco on October 23rd.
