It's an exciting time to be Patrick Mahomes. Not only are the Chiefs sitting atop the AFC West and tied for the division's 1-seed with two games left, but Mahomes, his wife Brittany, and their daughter Sterling got to spend their first holiday season with the newest edition to their family, Patrick "Bronze" Mahomes III. While chatting with 610's The Drive on Tuesday, Mahomes talked a bit about Christmas was like in their household this year, and what sort of toys Santa brought his two young kids.

"They got all types of different things," he said. "Sterling's favorite thing, though, was books. She got new books. She likes me to read books to her, so she's pretty hyped about it ... we got her all these cool toys, and kitchen sets, and golf carts, and all these different cool things, and the first thing she saw was the books, and that's what she went to. So of course, that's the simplest but smartest thing to get her."
