(610 Sports) – Since becoming the starting quarterback for the Chiefs in 2018, Patrick Mahomes has become the spokesperson for several popular brands and has starred in countless commercials.
From confessing his love for Hunt's Ketchup, to Head & Shoulders spots with Troy Palamalu, to State Farm bits with Aaron Rodgers, we've become accustomed to seeing Mahomes display his acting chops in a variety of hilarious endorsements. As good as they've all been, none have been as powerful as the recent Oakley commercial in which his Mahomes shares the screen with his daughter and younger sister.
Following the Chiefs week 1 win over the Arizona Cardinals, Mahomes joined 610 Sports' Carrington Harrison on 'The Drive' and talked about the recently debuted Oakley commercial and the inspiration behind it.
"I really liked your Oakley commercial, I thought it was really creative and really cool," said Harrison. "What inspired that, whose idea was that?"
"Yeah, Oakley came to me with the idea and obviously, if I was going to put Sterling and my sister Mia in a commercial, I wanted it to be powerful," said Mahomes. "So, I thought they had a great idea and agreed to put both of them in there."
"It just showed, you know, we always talk about it but the kids are the future of this world and they're gonna be the ones running the world when we're old and sitting around watching them do it," Mahomes continued. "So, we wanna make sure the next generation is better than ours. I think that's the best thing about people, is we always wanna make sure the kids have it better than we do."
