There are approximately 800 different Super Bowl LIX betting markets available at the BetMGM online sportsbook. Several hundred of those markets are player props. Which ones have been the most popular with bettors?
As of Monday, the three most-bet player props (by total tickets) are yardage totals.
1. Dallas Goedert: over receiving yards (52.5, -115)
Ninety-nine percent of Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert’s yardage tickets and handle are on the over, which he’s exceeded in three of his last four games, including with an 85-yard performance in the NFC Championship.
In Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs, Goedert had six receptions (on seven targets) for 60 yards.
2. Xavier Worthy: over rushing yards (5.5, -135)
Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy has at least one rushing attempt in 14 of his 18 career NFL games — not including his one-snap appearance in Week 18 — and has registered in at least 10 rushing yards in four of his last five games, including 16 yards in the AFC Championship.
Ninety-three percent of the tickets and 99 percent of the handle is on the over.
3. Saquon Barkley: over rushing yards (111.5, -115)
Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley’s 118 rushing yards in the NFC Championship were his fewest in the last five games, a stretch that includes three games of at least 150 yards.
The public has been on the over since the market opened at 114.5 yards last week, hitting BetMGM with 74 percent of the tickets and 80 percent of the handle.
4. Patrick Mahomes: over rushing attempts (5.5, -140)
Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes had six rushing attempts in three of the team's first seven games. He didn’t hit that number again until the postseason, during which he has 18 total carries in two games.
With 86 percent of the tickets and 87 percent of the handle, the public is betting on a third straight game with at least six rushing attempts for him. Mahomes has done that only once since early in the 2020 season.
5. Dallas Goedert: over receptions (4.5, -135)
Bettors also like Goedert’s receptions over, smashing it with 98 percent of the tickets and 99 percent of the handle.
Before catching seven passes in the NFC Championship, he exceeded four catches in only three of 12 games. He did, however, have five games with exactly four receptions.
