I'm only kind of kidding when I say that the Chiefs are yet another testament to how the first month of the NFL's regular season doesn't matter. After starting the year 3-4, Kansas City's won seven straight, the latest of which gave them a two-game division lead with four games left. After that, they sat back and watched both the Patriots and Titans lose on Sunday, giving the Chiefs the AFC's #1 seed by the end of the weekend. On top of all that, and perhaps unsurprisingly, they woke up on Monday morning as Super Bowl favorites:

Chiefs Twitter, also perhaps unsurprisingly, was thrilled to hear it:

That broken team with a QB the league has figured out? Weird https://t.co/e0NsMtUo50
