Chiefs Insider details what an ideal 2022 NFL Draft looks like for Kansas City

There's barely 24 hours left before the 2022 NFL Draft starts, which means that all the predictions, mocks, and speculation will soon give way to, you know, actual draft picks. All eyes will be on the Chiefs Thursday night, whether it's because they trade up for a star player, or sit tight and take two prospects with back-to-back first round picks. So which scenario is ideal for Kansas City? Talking with 610's Fescoe In The Morning on Wednesday, team insider Pete Sweeney laid it all out.

"I think it's addressing the three positions of need and feeling like the Chiefs got a player they had on their board," he said. "To me, it's still edge, and it's still adding a pass-catcher to this team. I think it's addressing the defensive back room while also taking care of some positions you may need down the line via a right tackle, a defensive tackle, and a tight end. But yeah, the positions that still stand out in everybody's mind -- and mine included -- are the edge position, the wide receiver position, and certainly the cornerback position."
