When the Chiefs drafted Skyy Moore in last year's draft, the move was almost universally applauded. Getting another wide receiver with Moore's skillset – especially during this offseason's WR overhaul – looked like, at first glance, another under-the-radar move from Brett Veach that would pay off immediately. Things haven't exactly gone that way so far, with Moore heading into the second half of the season with only six receptions. Is it time to be concerned? Chiefs' sideline reporter Josh Klinger joined 610's Cody and Gold to brush the panic aside.
"You're allowed to be a rookie," he said. "I think we forget that sometimes. Especially in football. You're allowed to progress at your own pace. And maybe it's not from the jump, but also, they didn't bring him in to be a guy from the jump, right? You had enough pieces to be like, 'Just be the fourth option, and you're good.' So I'm not down on him at all."
