One of the bigger storylines to come out of Chiefs summer camp this year was the position of Chris Jones, who, according to reports, will be used more frequently on the edge this season:

With the team desperately needing some improved edge play in 2021, will moving Jones there work? What do the ripple effects of that move look like? Arrowhead Pride's Pete Sweeney called into the Cody and Gold show on Friday morning to discuss:

"He's no longer, in my opinion, a defensive tackle," Sweeney said. "I don't think he's looking at it that way. As we've been talking all offseason, OK, now that they have Jarran Reed, we're going to have Chris Jones kick out here, and it's only going to be rotational, or on run downs, so on and so forth. But it almost sounds like he's going to be going at different positions, but his primary position may be defensive end. He mentioned that Justin Houston had to depart, Dee Ford had to depart, for him to finally to get his chance. That's not a guy who's going to be kicking out occasionally, that's a guy who's now starting at that position."
