(610 Sports) – Danny Duffy has been through a lot of ups and downs in his Royals' career, but he was riding arguably the hottest streak of his career to start this season, before being unable to get loose prior to a start for the team in mid-May.

Prior to the injury, Duffy was seventh in the majors among qualified starters with a 1.94 ERA through seven starts, and he has 48 strikeouts in 41 2/3 innings while pitching into the sixth inning in all but one start.

Duffy will be activated to start Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Duffy last faced the Yankees in 2019, allowing one earned run and striking out four over six innings.
