Christine spent the weekend at a JMU football game with her boyfriend, whose daughter Juliana attends James Madison University and is a member of the Marching Royal Dukes — the MRDs — where she plays tenor sax. The MRDs are a nearly 500 person, ridiculously talented band and a massive part of the JMU game-day experience.
Between the music, the traditions and all that purple, Christine was fully embracing Duke life. Until she ate a purple Skittle. And out popped a tooth. 🦷😂 Christine immediately posted a funny video showing off the damage, telling Cromwell Dental, “Heads up, I’m coming to see ya ASAP!” She also tagged Skittles — because, well, there was a purple suspect at the scene. And then something unexpected happened: Skittles replied! The company said it was sorry this happened and wanted an opportunity to know more. Well, Christine knows exactly what she wants...

Her proposal: a special-edition bag filled with nothing but purple Skittles, sold at JMU games through the end of the season, with the Marching Royal Dukes featured right on the bag.
