This week we honor Jacqueline Ford, a longtime DCF social worker who has spent over 30 years supporting children and families in Connecticut.

Jacqueline is the founder of The Olive Branch in Glastonbury — a toy and gift shop where families in need can choose brand-new items at no cost, in a space built on dignity and care.

She also created a pop-up prom boutique in a vacant space at Buckland Hills Mall so every teen could attend prom, and even hosted an inclusive prom event for those who needed a safe, welcoming space to celebrate. Jacqueline says her husband John, and daughters Alexandra and Rebecca are the heart of her journey — their unwavering care and compassion have carried her through every chapter.

Jacqueline is a badass because she sees a need — and meets it. With heart, creativity, and action. Congratulations to Jacqueline — our Badass Woman of the Week!
