This is a story of "ask and ye shall receive." It starts off like most stories do, with a tragedy. 96.5 TIC afternoon host, Gina J texted morning host Christine Lee one day asking if she'd seen the new hideous TIC staff t-shirts. Not only were they flimsy and see through, but they were about three sizes too small for the average human. SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE. The next day, Christine and Salt began Operation Hoodie Freedom, hoping against hope that some local business would come to their rescue.

Enter Jamie Scott, owner of More Than Words in Torrington. Jamie — a long time listener and kick ass businesswoman — helmed Operation Hoodie Freedom by dispatching her minions (daughter Jade, silk screener Chris and limo driver/hubby Richard). The results? Soft, brilliantly made, incredible fitting, flattering hoodies EMBROIDERED (not peel-n-stick like the garbage old ones) with the TIC logo. Thank you Jamie, you have served your favorite radio station with honor, ma'am. :) Check out Jamie's interview with Christine and Salt below and keep on scrolling to watch a video showing how the sweatshirts were made.
