Weezer frontman, Rivers Cuomo, is ready to come home. That's right, the musician, singer, songwriter and producer spent his childhood here in Connecticut — Storrs, to be exact — and he he grew up listening to 96.5 TIC.

Rivers is returning to the Nutmeg state with his bandmates to perform this Saturday, August 7th at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. You'll hear — among other Weezer tunes — their latest single, All My Favorite Songs.

Christine and Salt interviewed Rivers and discovered TIC gave him "a great education in pop music and probably helped me get to where I am today." He also added that he's super excited to sneak into Connecticut "while in the midst of the Hella Mega Tour."

Rivers also revealed what new music he's working on, commented on how Island in the Sun has something in common with Elton John's Bennie and the Jets, vowed to help Salt track down a guy who insulted his wife, laughed about the extreme meme-ablity of the group (thanks to one album in particular) and even weighed in on the Leslie Jones/Matt Damon argument over which Weezer era was best.

Check out the full interview with Weezer's Rivers Cuomo below and don't forget to get your tickets to see the band when they hit up Foxwoods on Saturday.
