We have a full-blown doggie grooming crisis in Cromwell!
One of our previous Badass Women of the Week Maria Gazzara, owner of The Doggie Castle, has a problem: she cannot find a groomer. And apparently, she’s far from alone. Maria says other doggie daycare and spa owners are struggling to find groomers too. A local grooming school in Newington has closed, grooming is a specialized skill, and good groomers are in serious demand. So…are you already a groomer? Or have you ever thought about becoming one? Because this could be your sign — and your next gig!
The Doggie Castle is a 3,000-square-foot, climate-controlled daycare and full-service grooming facility for dogs of all breeds and sizes — and yes, they even groom cats. Maria and her team are all about giving pets a safe place for supervised play, exercise, socialization and plenty of TLC. And we can personally vouch for Maria — Christine’s pugs are Doggie Castle customers!
