Connecticut stars in no fewer than FIVE Christmas movies on Hallmark this holiday season! There's Next Stop Christmas, A Holiday in Harlem, Sugar Plum Twist, The Holiday Fix Up and Soul Santa.
A pair of local celebrities — husband and wife tv anchors Dennis House and Kara Sundlun — have a nostalgic connection to one of those movies, A Holiday in Harlem. That's because the home featured in the film is none other than their old Hartford brownstone. But wait, there's MORE. The home was *also* featured in One Royal Holiday on the Hallmark channel last year too!
Christine and Salt chatted with Dennis about his memories of the home — how he actually painted the '25' above the door, how Kara made the curtains in the windows and how if that home were *actually* in Boston (as it appears in One Royal Holiday) he'd have walked away with a 5 million dollar paycheck!
Meanwhile, Dennis and Kara could be the subject of a Hallmark movie themselves — Connecticut tv anchors at competing stations fall in love while trying to bid on the same Hartford brownstone. Call us Synthetic Cinema — we have lots of ideas and we know you can make big things happen in Hallmark land!
