On Saturday, June 20th, Hartford and East Hartford will come together for a massive Juneteenth celebration connecting both sides of the Connecticut River for a day of community, culture, music, food, and fun. The event is a unique partnership between the two cities, bringing residents together to honor Juneteenth while celebrating the people, history, and diversity that make the region special. Attendees can enjoy local food vendors, live music, dancing, family-friendly activities, community organizations, and performances from local bands throughout the day.
Organizers say the celebration is about more than just a festival—it’s about building connections between neighboring communities and creating a shared experience along the river that unites them. Both Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam and East Hartford Mayor Connor Martin will be on hand for the festivities and to celebrate this exciting collaboration between the two cities.
