Legendary Hartford establishment J Restaurant Bar closing its doors after 54 years - 'paved paradise and put up a parking lot'
Owner Jordan Dikegoros tells Christine and Salt LAZ Parking made him an offer he couldn't refuse
After an incredible 54-year run, the iconic J Restaurant Bar in Hartford will be closing its doors for good. Owner Jordan Dikegoros shared with Christine and Salt that despite the bittersweet decision, the last two years have been the best ever for J Restaurant Bar. However, a compelling offer from LAZ Parking, coupled with the urgent need for parking for nearby Hartford Hospital and Connecticut Children's Medical Center, led to the unavoidable choice.
In the spirit of the famous song "Big Yellow Taxi," they are set to "pave paradise and put up a parking lot." With the hospitals across the street, the demand for parking is pressing.
Jordan won't be retiring though – far from it! He has exciting plans for J Restaurant Bar's final year, and he's already contemplating what comes next. For all the tea, check out the complete interview with Jordan and Christine and Salt below!
