Connecticut went viral over vaccines. Specifically because of Governor Ned Lamont's new age-specific vaccine rollout plan. Gone are the old 1A, 1B, 1C, immuno-compromised/co-morbidities guidelines. In its place: March 1st — teachers/child care workers and 55 and older. March 22nd — 45 and older. April 12th — 35 and over. May 3rd — 16 and older.

Some folks are saying the new guidelines are easier and more streamlined. They say there was no way other than the honor system to police the immuno-compromised and co-morbidities group, with much of the population being able to fall into it somehow. So going by age makes it quicker.

Others say it doesn’t account for kids with cancer (who will have to wait the longest) or the disabled and at-risk communities.

Currently the State of Connecticut is vaccinating those 65 and older along with first responders, healthcare workers and nursing home employees and residents.
