Get ready to scream, “It’s-a ME, Mario!” at your TV this Thanksgiving — because Leslie Ciarleglio of New Branford will be right in front of the Super Mario balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
Leslie was selected as a balloon handler for the iconic Super Mario character, and her 100-person team just found out they’re the very first balloon out in the parade. That means before the rest of those giant characters float down the streets of Manhattan…Leslie’s crew will be leading the way.
She’ll be out there in the streets of New York City, hanging onto those ropes, helping guide Mario safely through the parade route — no small job when millions are watching and the wind decides to get spicy.
And hey, we’re all hoping this year goes off without a hitch…
Unlike when Monkey D. Luffy’s hat popped and nearly took out Today show weatherman Al Roker. Let’s keep all hats and plumbers fully intact this time, please!😅
