Hilaria Baldwin opened up about her struggles with pregnancy loss in honor of National Infertility Awareness Week.
In an emotional and deeply personal message, the 37-year-old mother of six posted two candid photos honoring her “angels” despite being “so blessed” to have her children.
Baldwin suffered two miscarriages in 2019.
“It is #infertilityawarenessweek ...and while I am so blessed to have my babies, I have a few angels too,” Baldwin wrote.
She continued, “I had two miscarriages in a row in 2019–the second at 4 months. I was told “it’s just bad luck”...there is so much mystery why certain souls come into our lives and others do not.”
Baldwin, who shares her six children with husband Alec Baldwin, indicated the baby would have been about one years old today. Her intimate post included a photo of her growing baby bump just before losing the pregnancy.

“April 23 was her 39 weeks. I had to go home and sleep with her inside of me for one more night before having surgery the next. This was the last photo of my girls at the time.”
Baldwin elaborated on her emotional experience with the loss, saying, “My face so swollen—I remember being surprised that the body could make so many tears—kept on thinking I’d run out of them.”
Baldwin, who gave birth to son Edu in September 2020 and welcomed daughter Maria via surrogate in 2021, took time to celebrate her youngest children while remembering her painful fertility journey.
“I think of the babies I lost daily. Resigned and respectful of how my life has unfolded. Allowing for gratitude and grief, wholeness and longing to be the dualities of my reality.”
She added, “We all have different fertility/infertility stories and there are so many ways we can become parents.”
“If you are struggling or have struggled—or will struggle, know that you are not alone...if it serves you, connect with others as you grieve. We are a mighty bunch who carry this heaviness in our hearts—and together we can lighten each other’s load through support and understanding.”
In addition to Edu and María, she and Alec are parents to sons Romeo Alejandro David, 2, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 4, Rafael Thomas, 5, Carmen Gabriela, 7.
The actor is also dad to 25-year-old daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
