Attorney General William Tong will be joined by a number of attendees including those in the medical and legal fields to announce what he's calling "proactive measures" to protect abortion rights.

This summer, following the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe versus Wade and send abortion decisions back to the states, Tong joined nearly two dozen attorneys general in reaffirming their commitment to protect access to abortion care.

Tuesday's briefing is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the Office of the Attorney General.
