East Hartford man faces serious charges

They include criminal attempt of murder and kidnapping

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - An East Hartford man faces arraignment Monday morning in Manchester Superior Court, charged with Criminal Attempt of Murder, Kidnapping and six other offenses.

East Hartford Police responded to an apartment on Main Street Friday afternoon around one. They discovered a man had been shot in the arm. He was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police said a second man, later identified as 29-year old Randolph Brown, held a female inside a fourth floor apartment against her will.

EHPD Tactical Team and EHPD negotiators convinced Brown to allow the female to leave and for him to surrender. That happened without incident and with no injuries.

Brown also faces Assault, Breach of Peace, Interfering with an Officer and Weapons charges. More charges are pending, according to police.
Brown's bond is $1,000,000.
