Arrests made in Hartford homicide

Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - A man is dead and police in Hartford have arrested two suspects in the city's latest homicide.

Just after 7:00 Saturday morning, a body was found wrapped in a comforter on Pope Park Highway, later identified as Edgar Jose Martinez, 18.

The medical examiner said he'd been shot.

Police say Martinez's body was dumped at that location a day earlier.

Saturday evening, officers made two arrests.

They're now charging a 17-year-old with murder and tampering with evidence.

Also, Sender Soto-Veliz, 21, faces charges of tampering and hindering prosecution.

Detectives say the shooting occurred in a Magnolia Street apartment.

The suspects were captured while traveling in a vehicle on Park Terrace, police said.
