An investigation continues in Greenwich after a vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. Officials are searching for the driver of the vehicle after it fled the scene.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old Cristhian Eduardo Carvajal Saldana, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers were deployed to the area near Exit 4 of I-95 south early Sunday morning after receiving reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
The suspect’s car is described as a 2015-2018 Ford Transit van, either gray or silver in color.
According to police, the suspected van sustained minor damage to the driver side mirror housing, the front driver side bumper, and the front driver side wheel trim.
