Danbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Danbury police are investigating after a child was struck and killed by a motor vehicle Tuesday.
Officers were dispatched to the scene around 2:00 p.m. to a residence on Shelter Rock Road.
Investigators say the child was struck by a car in the parking lot.
The child was rushed to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Police say the incident appears to be a "tragic" accident.
Names of those involved aren't being released at this time.
The Danbury Police Accident Investigation and Special Victims Units are investigating.
