Uncasville, Conn./WTIC Radio - The Connecticut Sun opens their 2024 WNBA campaign Tuesday night against the Indiana Fever.

They're doing so against one of the league's newest stars, Caitlin Clark.

The game is a sellout, with over 8,900 expected at Mohegan Sun Arena.

And while the majority are expected to be Sun fans, nearly all will be on hand to witness the pro debut of Clark.

The 22-year-old former Iowa star has taken women's basketball by storm.

This past season Clark became the all-time NCAA scoring leader among both men and women.

Clark was the number one overall pick in the WNBA draft last month.

It's a pivotal year for the league in general, with viewship up thanks not only to Clark, but other new stars such as Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso.

Tipoff tonight is 7:30.
