Crash closes road in Simsbury

Simsbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Route 167 in Simsbury was closed at Fernwood and Old Meadow Roads due to an early Sunday morning crash.

Police said it was just before 1:00 a.m. when a vehicle struck a utility pole and a house at the intersection with Climax Road.

The driver was treated at an area hospital and released.

Although the road will reopen after the utility work is completed, officials said power at the intersection likely won't be restored until Monday.

Police said that motorists should expect delays and shuold seek alternate routes.
