
(Middletown, Conn./WTIC Radio - State Police continue their enhanced holiday travel detail this weekend.

As of 7:00 this morning, troopers had answered just over 3,500 service calls and 250 requests for assistance.
In addition, there had been 205 crashes, two with serious injury.
State Police had also issued 166 speeding citations and another 403 for other traffic violations.
Twenty had been arrested on DUI charges.
The stepped-up enforcement is scheduled to run through the Labor Day holiday.
