
Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC - The state Department of Labor has released its job numbers for the month of March.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows 4,600 positions were added to the rolls last month.
Unemployment fell three-tenths of a percentage point to 4.6-percent.
In addition, the department revised the February numbers to show an addition of 5,400 positions.
The department also said unemployment claims were at a historic low of 22,000 weekly filers.
Presently, there are 100,000 job openings and the department said that signals a strong market for job seekers.
Among the sectors that saw the highest gains include professional and business services, construction and mining, and trade, transportation and utilities.
Sectors that saw declines include government and financial services.
