East Lyme police chief under arrest

East Lyme, Conn./WTIC Radio - The police chief in East Lyme is under arrest.

Chief Michael Finkelstein was involved in an altercation with his wife that turned physical Monday night according to State Police.

A warrant says the couple got into an argument after Finkelstein had consumed several alcoholic drinks throughout the night.

Detectives say Finkelstein punched his wife in the face after he grabbed her cell phone and began looking through it.

He also allegedly put his hands around her throat and thew the phone at her chest.

Finkelstein, 53, is charged with breach of peace and disorderly conduct.

Bond was set $10,000.
