A major multi-vehicle crash on I-91 North in North Haven on Sunday evening left five people injured, including two who are in critical condition.
The North Haven Fire Department closed I-91 north between exits 10 and 11 because of the accident, where one of the vehicles caught fire after rolling over.
Travelers should expect lane closures for several hours and police are asking drivers to avoid the stretch of I-91 North.
The five injured people were all brought to area hospitals.
