Groton, Conn./WTIC Radio - There's an update on an assault in Groton on Monday.
Police now say the victim, Gerson Chiluisa, 46, of Bridgeport, has died.
Officers were dispatched around 11:30 Monday morning to the Stonington Institute on Poquonnock Road.
They say an altercation between the victim and 31-year-old Antwan Strickland of Hartford caused the victim to fall.
Chiluisa sustained a serious head injury.
The medical examiner says he died from blunt force head trauma.
Strickland currently faces assault and breach of peace charges but those charges could be upgraded, say police.
