Deron Freeman ran a lucrative personal injury and criminal law firm.
However, prosecutors say in the early 2000s he fell behind on his taxes, failing to pay the balance despite numerous notices that he was delinquent.
The 47-year old wound up entering into a payment plan with the IRS.
However, it turns out Freeman used a bank account in the name of a third party to hide hundreds of thousands of dollars, all the while spending lavishly on cars, watercraft and a million dollar home.
He's been sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay fines and restitution.
Freeman is to report to prison September 12.
