HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Hartford Police Fugitive Task Force took a homicide suspect into custody Thursday with the help of Springfield, Massachusetts police and US Marshalls.
Officers placed Joseph Rodriguez, 43, of Hartford under arrest after, officials said, authorities were able to obtain an arrest warrant that charges Rodriguez with a murder that occurred earlier this month.

On May 1, Hartford officers were dispatched to Park Street where they found a gunshot victim. The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital where he was initially listed in critical, but stable condition, police said.
The next morning, Javier Hernandez-Jiminian, 34, of Hartford succumbed to his injuries.
US Marshalls, Springfield and Hartford police arrested Rodriguez once he was located in Springfield, Massachusetts on Thursday. He is now being held, pending extradition, police said.
Rodriguez was charged with Murder and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
