Storrs, Conn./WTIC Radio - A key contributor to the UConn men's basketball team's two most recent NCAA championships is coming back for a final season.

Redshirt senior Alex Karaban announced on social media Tuesday he will return to Storrs for a final season in 2025-26.

Karaban briefly flirted with making himself eligible for the NBA draft after last season's championship run but decided to return to school instead.

The 6-8 forward averaged 14.3 points per game in 2024-25, along with 5.1 rebounds on 44% shooting while garnering second team all Big East honors.

In his post, Karaban said "I've realized that my heart remains in Storrs, and I have unfinished business to chase another national championship."
