Latest poll still shows Lamont holding edge over Stefanowski

Hamden, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The latest poll from Quinnipiac University on the governor's race remains virtually unchanged from a September survey.

Governor Lamont still holds a 15-point lead over his Republican challenger Bob Stefanowski, 56-41 precent.


The Quinnipiac survey shows Lamont's job approval at 58-percent.  Thirty-seven percent disapprove.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Democratic incumbent Richard Blumenthal continues to set the pace over Republican rival Leora Levy.

Quinnipiac's poll shows Blumenthal also holding a 56-41 percent edge over Levy.

Blumenthal's job approval is at 58-percent while 41-percent disapprove.

Q-poll respondents rank inflation as the most urgent issue facing the state, followed by taxes.
