Man charged with kidnapping in Plainfield

Plainfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - Plainfield police are charging a Quincy, Massachusetts man after they say he kidnapped a 13-year-old girl.

It was March 18 that officers responded to the Moosup section of town a report the juvenile was taken from the area by 22-year-old Connor Tidd.

Police say their investigation determined Tidd transported the victim to the Elite Inn on Main Street.

Police found the juvenile in a bathroom and Tidd hiding behind a doorway.

Officers say they found evidence of sexual and narcotic related crimes.

At the time of his arraignment Tidd was able to secure a $250,000 bond on a risk of injury charge.

That was later updated to include sex assault, kidnapping and narcotics charges.

He's now being held on $500,000 bond and is due in court Thursday.
