East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in East Hartford are investigating a Sunday night homicide.
Police were called to the scene at 79 Smith Drive just after 8:30.
Upon arrival, they found a man sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
They say Omar Thompson, 31, of Hartford, was rushed to Hartford Hosptial and later pronounced dead.
Investigators say a suspect was spotted dressed in dark clothing running away from the scene after firing several shots toward the victims vehicle.
The investigsation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact East Hartford police.
