North Haven, Conn,/WTIC Radio - Police in North Haven say a man is under arrest after he allegedly pulled a knife on a second man who then produced his gun to fend off the attack.
The incident occurred Thursday morning.
According to investigators, 45-year-old Obadiah Claud charged at the victim with a knife in the area of 45 Quinnipiac Avenue.
That's when the victim pulled out his legal firearm to deter the attack.
Claud fled in his vehicle but was later captured a short time later in West Haven.
He's charged with threatning, illegal possession of a deadly weapon, and breach of peace.
Bond was set at $50,000.
