Faces manslaughter charge for New Fairfield stabbing

New Fairfield, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A New Fairfield man been charged with manslaughter for a Saturday night stabbing, State Police said.

Troopers and New Fairfield Officers responded to Hillview Drive East just before 9:30. They found James Knapp, 65, of Sandy Hook, suffering a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital.

The accused, Patrick Griffin, 59, was also treated at Danbury Hospital.

Griffin is charged with first degree manslaughter. He's being arraigned Monday in Danbury Superior Court. His bond is $1,000,000.
