New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - New Haven police say they're looking for at least one shooter responsible for a double homicide at Winter and Goffe streets Monday night.

They say just before 10:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area after 911 calls reported two people having been shot.

When they arrived on scene, police found two men in the street, both fatally wounded: Clifford Capehart, 49, of New Haven and Keron Troutman, 39, of Hamden.

The victims were friends, according to police. Chief Karl Jacobson says drug evidence was found on the scene, and that the shooting may have resulted from a robbery or drug deal gone wrong.

"There were no weapons found on the scene," says Jacobson, "so they didn't kill each other to our knowledge at this point. So, there is at least one shooter at large."
