A 28-year-old man faces charges for allegedly cutting up an Israeli flag
at an intersection in Newtown, Connecticut.
Police say the suspect was arrested after a witness relayed that the flag was in pieces at the intersection of Church Hill and Walnut Tree Hill Roads.
Police say they gathered the pieces and after checking out the vehicle description they made contact with the car owner.
That man is now charged with criminal mischief and intimidation based on bigotry or bias.
He has been processed and released and is due back in Danbury Superior Court December 21.
